E-Safety session aimed at all primary school teachers
Aim:
The session will cover many of the challenges of e-safety in the primary classroom and will look at ways of supporting and informing pupils and parents on a variety of e-safety issues.
Key Objectives - all colleagues will leave knowing:
- how to help children stay safe in an increasingly digital world, developing ways of engaging with the internet and social media in a safe way
- how to work with parents in promoting e-safety at home
- how best to use filtering and monitoring to promote a safe digital environment
- what are the latest requirements and expectations of Ofsted and the DfE for e-safety and how can we evidence what we do?
- what to do and not to do using social media as a child and an adult
- how to stay up to date with ever changing technologies and children’s habits online
- where to find resources to teach e-safety in an engaging and effective way
