Effective Assessment for Learning (3 part course): PLTA
Delivered by Andy Hawes of PLTA
SESSION 1 - The power of the learning objective:
Learning objectives are far more than just ‘something you include to tick a box’ in your teaching. If used well, they help you to plan learning effectively, to enable learners to fully understand and engage with what they are learning and to evaluate how well they are succeeding with that learning. This practical and interactive session explores the real rationale and purpose of learning objectives and success-criteria and enables all delegates to be fully confident in all areas of their use in the classroom. It also dispels some common myths.
SESSION 2 - The Power of Questioning and Interactive Classroom Learning:
Questioning takes up a large proportion of a teacher’s classroom time. This highly interactive session explores the theory and practice of questioning and ways of enabling effective pupil response.
